The 2nd BLMCSS Alumni Exhibition, The Light in Our Eyes, features new works created by alumni artist Kurt Yau Kwok Keung during his artist residency in Berlin, alongside his recent series exploring the motif of light and fire. The exhibition also presents a collaborative set of firework drawings co-created with nearly forty students from Form 1 to Form 4. Together, these works reflect Yau’s extensive research on reframing mythological and historical motifs, while embodying his distinctive aesthetic of chaos and balance to explore themes of collective memory loss and social trauma.
